Automatic Fire Suppression Systems

When a fire starts, the detection network, consisting of fusible links or pneumatic tubing, will automatically detect the fire or the manual pull station can be used, releasing a low pH agent throughout the hood, duct and onto the appliances. Either method of actuation will interrupt gas or electrical power to the appliances preceding system discharge.

AUTOMATIC INDUSTRIAL DRY CHEMICAL SYSTEM:

The Amerex “IS” system uses our exclusive ABC (Model 555) dry chemical. ABC dry chemical suppresses more fire, by volume, than any other agent, has quick flame “knock-down” and can help to secure Class A fires against re-ignition. Since many hazards involve a variety of fuel sources, our ABC dry chemical, with protection against Class A (wood, paper, pulp), Class B (flammable liquids) and Class C (live electrical equipment) is the agent that is best suited for most Industrial hazards.

CPS1-300x300

Amerex CPS systems provide fast, people safe fire protection. CPS systems can be safely used where people are present. Amerex CPS systems have a history of protecting everything from control rooms for rocket engine test stands to small phone closets. Extinguishing concentrations are reached in less than 10 seconds limiting damage from fire and smoke. When fires are stopped this quickly it means less damage, less downtime, less business interruption, and lower repair cost.

The KITCHEN KNIGHT II Restaurant Kitchen Fire Suppression System is a pre-engineered solution to appliance and ventilating hood and duct grease fires. The system is designed to maximize hazard protection, reliability, and installation efficiency. Automatic or manual system activation releases a throttle discharge of potassium carbonate solution on the protected area in the form of fine droplets to suppress the fire and help prevent re-ignition after the discharge is complete.

R-102-System-Installation-011-200x300

The ANSUL® R-102™ Liquid Agent System continues to be the #1 protector of today’s kitchen equipment. Choose from either of two design options…

Appliance-Specific Design. The most efficient fire protection is accomplished when nozzles are selected and aimed at specific hazard areas on each appliance. This method typically provides the most economical use of liquid agent reducing the size or quantity of storage tanks and associated hardware.

Overlapping Appliance Protection. When flexibility and simplicity are most important, nozzles are placed in a straight-line arrangement providing overlapping agent discharge patterns. This creates a virtual fire-free zone where appliances of various types and sizes are protected – even if they are replaced or rearranged under the hood.

PIRANHA-System-Installation-01-300x199

ANSUL® PIRANHA® systems employ the best firefighting attributes of two extinguishing agents…

  • The fast flame knockdown and securing power of wet chemical.
  • The fast cool-down capability of water.

Tests using the “Double-Agent” Concept have shown dramatically increased firefighting performance…

  • Twice the coverage of conventional single-agent systems
  • Cools down cooking oils 15 times faster than wet chemical systems
  • Flexible overlapping nozzle coverage for most appliance arrangements
  • Smaller and fewer agent storage tanks required per system
